Equitable procurement (sometimes called Supplier Diversity) refers to the collection of measures and procedures taken to address the barriers that keep minority businesses in fully participating in the procurement process of organizations. It involves engaging a new and more diverse set of vendors and contractors in the procurement process and being intentional in doing so.
Our supplier diversity program development at TEA uses a parallel approach:
a) Breakdown barriers
b) Prepare potential suppliers
We analyze your supply chain and procurements practices – and identify areas where costs can be eliminated, and best practices can be introduced
1. We identify structural and systemic barriers and work with your organization to put measure in place to eliminate them
2. We them work with your organization to develop a robust and equitable supplier diversity program without losing competitive advantage.
1. We carry out a deep industry analysis to uncover the competitive and operational dynamics in the industry that creates challenges for these suppliers to fully participate in procurement processes.
2. We work with these suppliers (individually and collectively) and guide using our research and analysis findings, on techniques, sources, and methods they can use to overcome the systemic, structural, and financial barriers preventing them from fully participating in the procurement process.
3. We work them to get them into positions ready to undertake contracts.
